On the morning of September 23, the delegation paid a visit to the representative office of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade in Australia, and the two sides discussed opportunities for economic and trade cooperation between China Xi'an and Australia in the fields of new energy and agricultural products. On the afternoon of September 23, the delegation held the 2024 China (Xi'an) - Australia (Sydney) Economic and Trade Cooperation Promotion Conference in Sydney. Ye Wei, Consul General of the Chinese Consulate General in Sydney, said that the Chinese Consulate General in Sydney will continue to support the in-depth cooperation between China Xi'an and Australia in the fields of agricultural product import and export, technology trade, digital trade, cultural trade and other fields. In the keynote promotion session, Wu Huijuan, deputy director of the Xi'an Municipal Bureau of Commerce, gave a comprehensive introduction to the economic and social development of our city from multiple dimensions such as industrial development, scientific and technological innovation, open channels, and international cooperation. He hoped that Australian enterprises would invest in Xi'an and strengthen economic and trade cooperation and cultural exchanges with Xi'an. Zhao Xiangjun, deputy director of the Xi'an Municipal Bureau of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, introduced the agricultural development of our city and the going out of key agricultural products, hoping to achieve more results with Australia in the field of agricultural international cooperation.
In the exchange and sharing session, Shaanxi Skeside Trade Finance Import and Export Co., Ltd., Shaanxi Feiteng Food Co., Ltd., Amandela Holdings Co., Ltd., and inventor Mark Bryant shared themes with the participants on the theme of China-Australia economic and trade cooperation. During the signing session, Xi'an International Chamber of Commerce and Liverpool Chamber of Commerce, Xi'an Agricultural Technology Promotion Center and Australia-China Agricultural Industry Association Sydney Branch, Shaanxi Skeside Trade Finance Import and Export Co., Ltd. signed a memorandum of cooperation with Ao Agricultural Group, Shaanxi Feiteng Food Co., Ltd. and eBest E-commerce Group.

The two sides explored how to integrate their respective resources and advantages to jointly help China Xi'an and Australia's economic and trade cooperation and cultural exchanges to a higher level.
On September 25, the delegation continued to carry out economic and trade cooperation activities, and successively inspected and investigated key enterprises in Australia such as Australia Post International Logistics Group, B Pure (VitaTree) Biopharmaceutical Company, and Amanda Holdings to understand the development process and business status of enterprises. The delegation said that it will give greater support to Xi'an enterprises and Australian enterprises to carry out practical cooperation in international logistics, cross-border e-commerce, and commodity import and export.
It is reported that in recent years, the level of economic and trade cooperation between our city and Australia has been rapidly improved. In 2023, the total import and export trade between our city and Australia will be about 9.37 billion yuan, an increase of 40.3% year-on-year. Our city and Australia have strong complementarity in resources and industries, and the cooperation prospects are good. Through this visit, we will further develop cooperation between our city and Australia in trade, investment, scientific research, tourism, education, resources, etc.
